*Our Alabama sausage can be used with any stuffing recipe2 Loaves of bread (your choice; we used Rudi’s Sourdough bread)
1.5lb Lakewood Meats Alabama Sausage
1 Bunch of celery
1-2 boxes Sliced mushrooms
4tbsp. Butter (Springhill Creamery butter, sold at Lakewood, highly recommended)
1 Onion
2 cups Chicken Broth (for moisture add more broth)
1.5 tbsp. Poultry seasoning to taste
1 tsp (minimum) Sage
*Maldon’s Sea Salt (Highly recommended (sold at Lakewood)) to taste
*Pepper to tasteCut up bread into chunks and put into bowl. Sautee onions, celery and mushrooms in the butter. Add more butter if needed. Add half of the seasonings while sauteeing. Then add all the sautéed ingredients to the bread bowl. In another pan, cook the sausage. Then add all of the sautéed ingredients and cooked sausage to the bread. Warm up the chicken broth in a pan and slowly add it to all of the ingredients in the bowl while mixing it together. Add broth to the desired consistency. Then add the rest of the seasonings to taste. Bake at 350 degrees between 30-45 minutes or stuff
